Girl group Crayon Pop's member Soyul has just officially announced that she is leaving the group. The rest of the members will continue as a four-member group.

According to Soompi, on May 31, a source from Crayon Pop's agency stated, "Crayon Pop will be promoting as a four-member group without Soyul. There are no plans to have a replacement member. After Soyul withdrew from the group, they continued to promote as four members."

The source also added, "We are discussing contract renewals with Ellin, Geummi, Choa, and Way after their contracts expired. Rather than focusing on Crayon Pop's comeback, we are focusing on the members' individual activities."

The news of Soyul leaving the group comes soon after the announcement of her pregnancy. Former H.O.T member Moon Hee Jun and Soyul married soon after the news of their dating shocked everyone and recently gave birth to a baby girl.

Chrome Entertainment too gave out the official statement saying, "Soyul will be leaving the group but Geummi, Ellin, Choa and Way will be continuing as Crayon Pop."

They will reportedly continue to perform and release albums.

The agency also added, "The members will not be extending their contracts with Chrome Entertainment, but have simply agreed to continue activities as Crayon Pop. Soyul has ceased all activities after giving birth so she cannot join the members in their future activities."
