Due to the same, free regular bus services will be opened between Clementi and Jurong East. SMRT has recently given an update on the situation. The track point fault has been resolved. Train services are back to normal.

Commuters are expressing their disgust over the same.

Many seem to be unaware of the whole track point fault mechanism.

"This is new to me..Track POINT fault?" wrote one.

In a recent Twitter update, SMRT has asked commuters to add 10 minutes travel time from Queenstown to Jurong East. The tweet states that the track point fault is not due to a new signalling project. Authorities are trying to solve the hindrance which may be a technical one.

SMRT in a recent update has declared that the technical problem has been resolved and the free bus service from Clementi to Jurong East has been stopped.

Regular updates on technical faults by SMRT is not something new. On October 24, trains from Yishun to Toa Payoh ran at a slower speed. On October 26, train services between Ang Mo Kio to Bishan and Marina South Pier, was hampered due to a major track fault.
