The 26-year-old game artist identified as Lee was on his way to Somerset MRT station at around 8 pm on Friday, but he unconsciously alighted at Dhoby Ghaut where he lost grip of his silver iPhone X 256GB. The unfortunate event happened just hours after Lee fetched the phone from the store.

Too tired from the overnight queueing, Lee mistakenly went off the train at Dhoby Ghaut where the expensive phone flew off his hands and ended up stuck on the train tracks. That happened before he could even secure an Apple Care for an extended warranty from the manufacturer which is one train ride away.

At around 8 am on Saturday, November 4, the device was retrieved by the SMRT staff after the track maintenance was finished. The iPhone X has visible scratches on the case but the phone still works, reports Mothership.sg.
