Singapore: Woman injured in accident along PIE involving 3 cars

The woman has been taken to the hospital conscious with minor injuries.

A 29-year-old woman was injured in an accident involving three cars along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi near the Stevens Road and Whitley Road exit in Singapore on Sunday. Reports said that the woman was taken to the hospital conscious with minor injuries.

The police said that they were informed about the accident at around 4.56 pm. Immediately after the notification, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) dispatched an ambulance to the scene.

The Land and Transport Authority (LTA) warned the commuters about the accident on the PIE towards Changi Airport after the Stevens Road exit by tweeting at 5.04 pm. It urged the motorists to avoid lane one.

Later at around 5.28 pm, LTA tweeted that there was traffic congestion until Lornie Road. The police said that the investigations are going on.
