After Monday's delay between Bugis and Tanah Merah stations due to a platform screen door fault at Bedok station, passengers again faced train fault on Tuesday, which caused delays on the East-West Line (EWL) during morning rush hour.

SMRT took to Twitter at around 7:44am to inform passengers about the delay and told them to expect an additional 25 minutes travel time between Joo Koon and Queenstown stations. It also tweeted that free regular bus services are available.

The fault was cleared at 8.08am, reported The Channel News Asia.
