A man was arrested for suspected drink and drive on Wednesday, September 27, in Singapore after he crashed his car into a tree along Braddell Road.

The accident involved two cars and a taxi and took place near Croucher Road in the direction towards Lornie Road. According to reports, the police were notified of the situation at 11:25 pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force informed that a male taxi driver was admitted to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital in a conscious state.

The police suspect that the driver might have been under the influence of alcohol that led to the mishap. The investigation is still being conducted.

A video posted on the Facebook page of a road safety interest group "Roads.sg" clearly shows a dark coloured car speedily approaching the rightmost lane, mounting the kerb and finally crashing into the tree.

The impact was heavy as dust debris were seen flying and the car got tilted on the side, blocking two of three lanes. Photos have captured the intensity of the crash where the engine is actually seen flying over to the other side of the road. The front of the car was completely wrecked after the accident.
