Singapore: 54-year-old dies as motorcycle goes under trailer truck on Admiralty Road

The victim, a father of three, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

A 54-year-old motorcyclist died on Wednesday in an accident with a prime mover on Admiralty Road West, just three days before Chinese New Year. The Singapore Civil Defence Force was informed about the incident that took place at around 3.50 pm and it immediately dispatched one ambulance to the scene. The victim, a father of three, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Reports said that the prime mover was going straight towards Admiralty Road at the time, when suddenly the driver "heard a sound" and stopped. He then found the rider under his vehicle. The police said the investigations are ongoing.

A relative of the deceased factory worker told the Chinese evening daily that the rider is survived by his wife, a 24-year-old daughter who is studying medicine, a 19-year-old son who is serving national service and a 17-year-old daughter who is schooling.
