Singapore: 26 injured in multi-vehicle collision near Woodlands Checkpoint

At least 26 passengers, including a bus driver, were injured in a multi-vehicle collision near Woodlands Checkpoint on Wednesday morning in Singapore. The police said that the 26 wounded people were taken to Khoo Teck Puat, Ng Teng Fong and Tan Tock Seng hospitals for treatment.

The authorities said that they were informed about the accident that took place at 21 Woodlands Crossing at about 6 am. According to reports, the incident involved two trailers a bus and a car.

Reports said that the bus driver along with the passengers suffered mostly minor injuries. However, the other drivers, who were involved in the collision, were unharmed.

Several photos that were circulated on Facebook showed a car stuck in between two trucks. The bonnet of the car was crashed and wedged under a trailer.

A passer-by, who witnessed the incident, told Channel NewsAsia that she saw passengers climbing out of the front windshield of the bus as the side door was obstructed.
