Singapore: 2 people killed in Mandai Road accident

The police say that the investigations are still going on.

Two men died in a deadly traffic accident involving a van and a lorry along Mandai Road on Friday in Singapore. The police said that the 29-year-old van driver and a 25-year-old a lorry passenger were both pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was informed about the accident, which took place along Mandai Road towards Yishun, at around 4.40 pm.

According to reports, the lorry was reversing into a construction site when the van came from behind and crashed directly into the back of the lorry.

Several photos that were circulated on social media showed a black van behind a lorry. The front of the van was completely smashed. The pictures also showed the emergency services at the site. The accident resulted into slow-moving traffic along Mandai Road. However, it was cleared later.

The police said that the investigations are still going on.
