A 19-year-old boy was charged in Singapore court on Monday for committing a rash act causing grievous hurt, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said. Last year on August 27, the accident took place between two cars near Stadium Road.

According to the police, the accident took place after the teen, who was driving a Nissan GT-R, crashed his car into a Toyota car at an open-space car park near Stadium Road. Both the cars were heavily damaged due to momentum of the Nissan GT-R.

A 65-year-old man also "sustained serious injuries" from the accident. The police said the Nissan GT-R was believed to have been travelling at high speed prior to the collision, which occurred at about 5.45pm.

The suspect was arrested by the police on Aug 29. If found guilty, the 19-year-old could face a jail sentence of up to four years, a maximum fine of S$10,000 or both.
