After the successful merger of Scoot and Tigerair into a single brand, the airline has announced five new additions to its list of destination.

Scoot CEO Lee Lik Hsin announced that Scoot will fly to Honolulu, its maiden USA destination, and Harbin in Northeast China starting June 2018. Short-haul destinations to Kuching and Kuantan in Malaysia and Palembang in Indonesia were also announced.

The five new services bring Scoot's total destination count to 65 across 18 countries.

The announcement was made after Tigerair Singapore took its last flight from Singapore to Tiruchirappalli. This marks the conclusion of the Scoot-Tigerair integration process that began last May when the two were brought under a common holding company, Budget Aviation Holdings.

"As we come to the end of Tigerair's journey, we open up a brand new chapter for Scoot. Building on what Tigerair and the old Scoot had achieved since their respective inceptions, we are stronger than we have ever been before, and consequently in an even better position to offer our guests more choice, connectivity and value," Lee said in a statement.

Aside from the five destinations, Scoot also unveiled the new uniform designs of its Scootees crew members. Female crew members will don an asymmetric dress with a higher waistline while male crew members will wear polo shirts with yellow highlights.

Both uniforms will be adorned with quirky details such as black buttons sewn with a yellow thread. The black and yellow colour scheme Scoot is known for will be retained.

The brand enhancement brought about a new tagline for the airline. It adopted Escape the Ordinary as its new slogan.

"It is more relevant to the global market now that our network has grown as it is aspirational to our inner wanderlust, and inspires us to travel and explore the world," Lee noted, adding that the slogan is reflective of Scoot's growth as an airline brand.

Additionally, Scoot also rolled out its first A320 aircraft, which was previously operated under Tiger. The current Tigerair fleet will be progressively repainted and the complete livery change is targeted to be by mid-2018.
