Russell Brand has opened up about his short-lived marriage to Katy Perry. The two tied the knot in October 2010, and ended their marriage 14 months later.

During an appearance on John Bishop: In Conversation With, the 41-year-old comedian said he "still feels very warm towards" Perry. He said: "I feel like, when I hear about her or see her, 'Awe, there's that person. There's that person in the world.'"

"The marriage didn't last for a very long time and I think that is to do with the undulated nature of fame and that, living in those conditions and what was happening," he added.

Perry had found love again in Orlando Bloom, but the two split recently. It was revealed that the 32-year-old singer and the 40-year-old actor, who were last photographed together at Vanity Fair Oscars party, are taking a break. Spokesperson for both stars said in a statement: "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."

The Part Of Me singer and the Lord of the Rings star were first romantically linked in January 2016, when they were spotted getting cosy at The Weinstein Company and Netflix Golden Globes after-party. The couple were spotted kissing at the Coachella music festival in California in April 2016.

Meanwhile, after the break-up news broke out, Perry took to her Twitter account to reveal that she and Bloom are in good terms. She wrote: "HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017⁉️U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!"
