Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo have reportedly decided to donate their remaining salary from the SBS variety show Running Man. The duo will appear on the show till it concludes in February 2017.

A source told Soompi: "Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo haven't decided on a concrete method or which charity to donate to. Their decision to donate most likely arose from their feelings of gratefulness toward all viewers for their support, and also from feeling apologetic for the recent news."

SBS' shock announcement reads: "Running Man members and producers gathered together in Seoul today for an emergency meeting and overcame their misunderstandings and miscommunication. After a deep and lengthy discussion, both sides have decided to end the show at the end of February 2017.

They added: "However, they decided that they did not want to end the show on such a sad note, and as such, will have all six members, Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Haha, Lee Kwang Soo, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook (for the rest of the epidodes)."

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ji Hyo locked herself in her room after hearing the news. Her label said: "The members loved 'Running Man' a lot, and they were like family for the past 7 years. She was hurt deeply by what happened. After she heard she would be leaving, she had a really hard time. She cut off all communications and just cried her eyes out."
