The return of Indiana Jones: Harrison Ford to reprise iconic role of Doctor Jones

Still untitled, the next Indiana Jones movie will be release in 2019.

Speculation can be put to rest now -- the big news about the revival of the famous 'Indiana Jones' is out officially.

In a statement issued by Walt Disney Studios, chairman Alan Horn announced that he is all set to bring the fearless archeologists on the big screen again. He also added that the legacy of 'Indiana Jones' will be carried on, the way it has been with Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg teaming up for the fifth time.

"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019.It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven", Alan shared.

The blockbuster "Indiana Jones" is one of the classic franchises which entered Hollywood in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark. It then mesmerized audience in 1984 with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, and the last one in 2008, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

While the title of the fifth installment has not been decided, the date has been already finalized. According to Deadline, "Indiana Jones" will hit the big screens on July 19, 2019, which is exactly 11 years after the previous part was released.

Franchise veterans Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce the upcoming movie.
