Home United travel to Hanoi to take on Than Quang Ninh in a crucial AFC Cup 2017 Group H encounter at the My Dinh Stadium on Wednesday.

The S.League giants are heading into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with league champions Albirex Niigata in their last game on Saturday while they also picked up a 3-2 win against the hosts in their first-leg at the Jalan Besar Stadium last month to open their account in the AFC Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Cup champions have stitched a two-match unbeaten run since their loss to Home with a win in their last game against V League 1 side Can Tho on 23 March.

Home, with their win last month at home, have given themselves a chance to leapfrog leaders Yadanarbon FC and top the group and it will be important for them to do so as only the group winners and best-placed runners-up will progress to the Asean semi-final of the tournament.

The Protectors after losing their first game to Yadanarbon, made a remarkable comeback with goals from Ui Young Song and Faris Ramli to edge past the Vietnamese side in their second game. They will be high on confidence when they play tomorrow's game in Hanoi on the road.

However, the absence of playmaker Song, who has been suspended for the match, will hurt their chances. Home will also miss Lions' vice-captain Hariss Harun but Aidil Sharin will be pleased to have in-form Stipe Plazibat and Khairul Nizam to lead the attack tomorrow.

On the other hand, Vietnamese playmaker Mac Hong Quan will not be available for Than Quang Ninh as he was sent off during the two teams' last meeting after he made an assist in the second half.
