Remember comedian Piko Taro, the man behind the hilarious Japanese single, Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen? Taro has entered the wedlock with his long-time, model girlfriend Hitomi Yasueda. The 44-year-old star announces the news via his blog on Thursday. "I will work even harder at home and at work," the comedian said in a statement.

Piko Taro is the comedian stage name and his real name is Kazuhito Kosaka. The two met during their shoots and has been dating ever since 2013. Taro became a sensation after the release of his song-song single PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen) in August 2016. The MV became a viral sensation and has been viewed over 122 million times, spawned parodies, and various newspapers and online media even hailed it as the new Gangnam Style. Earlier this year, Taro also made a special appearance in Psy's I Luv It. The single took the top spot on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart to become the shortest single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was also recognised by Guinness World Records as the shortest song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A report on Sun UK described, "The infectious song, which is sure to be stuck in your head for hours, is based on a play on words between pen, apple and pineapple.A winning formula of catchy lyrics, a memorable beat and a hilariously simple dance routine meant this song was always destined for viral fortune." In a twitter chat with his fans, when asked about the inspiration for his song, Taro tweeted: "When I was making this music with play, I was singing it too soon." Well, Taro also earned many celebrity fans post the release of the single. Pop star Justin Bieber shared the video on Twitter, calling it his "favourite video on the Internet."
