Park Ki-Woong to join Park Hae-Jin and Oh Yeon-Seo in the remake of Cheese in the Trap

The actor said that he will be reviewing the offer positively.

Actor Park Ki-Woong reportedly nabbed a new project and is supposed to join Park Hae-Jin and Oh Yeon-Seo in the remake of Cheese in the Trap. After playing the role of illegitimate son in the 2016 MBC drama Monster, he may be back with a new character in the movie namely Baek In Ho.

A source from Ki-Woong's agency recently stated that the 31-year-old actor has been offered Baek In Ho's role in the film remake of the 2016 television series as reported by to Korean newsoutlet Sports Chosun, as cited by Soompi. The actor said that he will be reviewing the offer positively.

According to a source from Haewadal Entertainment said, Cheese in the Trap "is one of the many works that he is considering. He hasn't confirmed his decision yet. We will announce his decision as soon as possible."

In the television series, the role of Baek In Ho was played by 5urprise member Seo Kang Joon. According to the story, Baek In Ho is adopted into a wealthy family of Yoo Jung's (Hae Jin) who is a talented pianist.

His dream of becoming a well-known pianist shatters because of his damaged hands and he blames the family as he believes that they are responsible for it as they instigated a fight that caused the damage.

Reportedly, the production will start in April after the role of Baek In Ho is confirmed. Director of 2012 Love On-Air and 2015's Wonderful Nightmare will be directing this, but the other details of the adaptation are kept under wraps.

The news comes after Hae-Jin shared his thoughts about revisiting his character in the film remake in a interview with Mail Business Newspaper, as cited by All Kpop.

Fans will have to wait for the official confirmation about the cast, date and the other details of the film.
