OxygenOS 4.1.3 update arrives on OnePlus 3 and 3T

OnePlus 3 and 3T users are in for some good news as the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.1.3 update has started rolling out to these devices. Although the update includes all the latest features from the Nougat platform, it does not feature the Pixel-like launcher and some others from the Open Beta 13 update for the OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 3T.

The latest feature additions to the Open Beta software are likely to be ported into the upcoming OxygenOS 4.2 update. Nevertheless, interested users may take a look at the complete changelog shared by the OnePlus team, before deciding to install the new OxygenOS update:

  • Upgraded Android 7.1.1
  • Added expanded screenshots
  • Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction
  • Improved video stability when recording
  • Improved WiFI connectivity
  • Improved bluetooth connectivity
  • Fixed Instagram swiping bug
  • Fixed hardware buttons malfunction bug
  • Increased system stability
  • General bug fixes

The company has also suggested a simple fix for the prevailing Bluetooth logging issue. To resolve this problem, OnePlus 3/3T users are advised to delete the oem_log folder to free up space as follows:

  • Go to File manager, choose Storage and then tap on oem_log.
  • Finally, hit the Delete button.

As the update is barely 30MB in size, it should not create any space constraints on your handset and the installation should go through smoothly. With the highly-anticipated addition of Open Beta features, the upcoming OxygenOS update is likely to be bigger and may also feature the necessary security patches.
