OnePlus One gets MOD ready Cyanogen OS 13.1 with Cortana, Skype and Hyperlapse support

The Cyanogen team teases the OnePlus One running MOD ready Cyanogen OS 13.1 update in a YouTube video.

OnePlus One users can now enjoy the latest MOD ready Cyanogen OS experience, thanks to the release of Cyanogen OS 13.1 which brings a bunch of deep-platform-integrated apps such as Skype, Twitter, OneNote, Cortana and Microsoft Hyperlapse to your fingertips.

Among the tightly integrated features, Twitter brings trending tweets right on top of your lock screen while Skype integrates VOIP into the dialer app as the messenger contacts are also featured in the phone's regular contact list.

The Cyanogen team has also shared an interesting demo video on YouTube showing its new firmware in action:

OneNote enables you to take quick notes from anywhere in the OS with its features integrated into the email and phone apps. Cortana has now been enhanced to allow users to take a hands-free selfie with quick access options via lock screen.

Creating time-lapse videos or editing them has become much easier with the advent of Microsoft Hyperlapse as the feature is tightly knit into the native camera app and Gallery app.

Users can now enjoy enhanced privacy options with the use of Mods such as the lock screen mods within apps like Skype, Hyperlapse and OneNote. In Cyanogen OS 13.1, you can enable Lock screen mods by navigating to Settings > Lock screen.

Note: You just have to select the mod and then tap on it to enable or disable the option.

OnePlus One users can check for the over-the-air (OTA) update of the Cyanogen OS 13.1 by going to system menu. Once the update is available you can see a 396MB file showing up as the downloadable firmware.

Note: Non-US users will not have access to the Cortana feature as it is currently limited to the US region only.
