Dual camera has been a leading-edge feature for smartphones that just started in the recent year and the OnePlus 5 has been confirmed to sport this innovative tool alongside a seamless rear panel, according to a report. It also confirmed that OnePlus is working to officially make the first-ever public appearance of its newest device this summer.

OnePlus 5 Initial Release

A India Today report has just confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be launched in the next two months, around June. In the same month, the smartphone will initially hit shelves in major markets, particularly China and India.

Similar publication claimed that it has secured images from the insiders working for the Chinese tech firm, revealing that the OnePlus 5 will inherit a design akin to OnePlus 3T's. The report further stated that the forthcoming flagship phone of OnePlus will have a build made of aluminum. It also considered a rounded edging that is similar to the OnePlus 3T.

Notable changes

While the fingerprint scanner lies in front of the display right below the screen, the OnePlus 5 will bring in notable changes from its predecessor. For one, the rear panel of the phone will get rid of the antenna lines that is present with the OnePlus 3T, which makes the new smartphone look seamless.

The dual camera that OnePlus 5 will be sporting is expected to fare with Apple's iPhone 7 Plus and Xiaomi's Mi 6. Both models can do superzoom shots with its telephoto lens and bokeh-filled images. It is yet to be known which camera lens OnePlus will be using for its device. If rumours hold true, OnePlus 5 will rock an impressive 16mp front snapper which the OnePlus 3T debuted.

Just like the predecessor, the OnePlus 5 is reportedly available in three color variants: black, grey, and gold. The device will come with OnePlus's very own Oxygen operating system based on Android Nougat.

Amidst this generous information made available, the publication warned that OnePlus might make relative changes on the phone's design based on the released images.
