N-Level results to be declared next Monday; how to submit polytechnic applications

Authorities say the school candidates can obtain their result slips from their respective schools from 2 pm onwards.

The Singapore Ministry of Education said the results of the Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) Level examinations of 2016 will be released next Monday, December 19.

The ministry said the school candidates can obtain their result slips from their respective schools from 2 pm onwards, while the private candidates can get their results from the official website of Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board at the same time. The results will also be mailed to the candidates through postal services.

Students, who are interested to apply for courses at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), can submit online applications through the ITE application portal. The application forms will also be available at customer service centres of each of the three ITE colleges.

Authorities said candidates who will be applying for the Direct Entry Scheme to polytechnics can submit their applications online from Dec 19 at 2.30 pm till Dec 22 at 5 pm via the ITE application portal. The posting results will be declared on Dec 27 at 9 am.

The ministry said the students who are willing to apply for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme should start their Secondary 5 year on Jan 3, 2017, while they wait for the eligibility notification and confirmation of a place.
