Singer Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's wedding is put on hold because the former is actively working on her new record. Cyrus and Hemsworth have postponed their marriage a number of times for various reasons.

According to the rumours, the couple was hoping to tie the knot this summer, which was before the singer signed her latest deal with NBC where she'll be a judge on the talent show. The singer is not only getting ready to make her television comeback but also planning to drop her forthcoming studio album this year itself.

According to Extra, these are the two main reasons why Miley Cyrus' mind isn't anywhere near marriage and is not even planning a wedding right now.

According to sources as cited by inquisitor, the singer wants to concentrate on her career right now mainly because she hasn't released an album since 2013's Bangerz.

Inquisitr also mentioned that insiders said that Cyrus and Hemsworth are head over heels in love with one another and they would eventually get married. According to them, tying the knot won't really change anything for them and so, it doesn't matter to them whether they get married this year or next year.

According to Hollywood Life's source, "Miley wants to make a major splash when she returns to the limelight."

The source further adds saying, "Once she returns to The Voice [next fall], she wants to put out new music, tour and so much more. She wants to perform at Coachella and be involved in a future Super Bowl, either doing the halftime show or National Anthem. She wants to check off many major career goals, so marriage and kids are way down the list of what she wants to achieve in the next two, three years."
