Barcelona are keen to sign the Brazilian playmaker, who joined Liverpool from Inter Milan for £8.5m in 2013, and have already had an initial bid worth £72m rejected.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has repeatedly said that the 25-year-old, who was a key player for the Anfield outfit last campaign, would not be sold and the club's position is boosted by Coutinho's signing of a new five-year contract last season.

Liverpool rejected a second bid from Barcelona worth £90.3m (€100m) for Coutinho Wednesday night, according to BBC Sport.

Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have also released a statement on their club's website saying that they'll consider no offers for the Brazil international.

Jürgen Klopp has admitted that 'no player is not for sale' in the current market following Neymar's £200m move to Paris Saint-Germain but is adamant Liverpool 'are not a selling club'.

The Liverpool midfielder is Barcelona's top target as they look to replace Neymar this summer.

"From a financial standpoint, there is no price limit to let him go or a price that we are ready to give in," Klopp said.

"Liverpool is not a club that has to sell players. That is set in stone. So what they pay in the end doesn't matter."

In other news, Gremio have insisted Liverpool have made no approach for their star man Luan, according to the Express.

The Brazilian forward has been on the Reds' radar this summer as Jürgen Klopp looks improve his attacking options.

Gremio vice-president Odorico Roman said: "I do not know of any other proposal.

"We had two firm approaches, from Sampdoria and Spartak.

"They were made, but Luan remains as a Gremio player at the moment."

Meanwhile, Juventus will make a move for German international Emre Can who plays for Liverpool.

Gazzettadello Sport claim the Serie A champions are keen for a defensive midfielder, with Liverpool's Can their top choice.

The report claims Juve will decide which player to bid for within the next 72 hours.

Liverpool have resumed their interest in Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams, as reported by the Dailystar.

The Reds have frequently been linked with Williams, 23, over the past few seasons.
