Lee Seung Gi starring 'Hwayugi' reveals still cuts of characters played by main leads

'Hwayugi' is a Korean drama which is a modern retelling of the story 'Journey to the West' and is written by Hong sisters.

tvn's modern fantasy drama 'Hwayugi' has revealed still cuts of its characters played by the main leads - Lee Seung Gi, Cha Seung Won, Oh Yeon Seo and Lee Hongki.

The drama is a modern retelling of the story 'Journey to the West' and is written by Hong sisters. Lee Seung Gi plays the role of Sun Wukong or Son Oh Gong and a recent clip showed him with fire in his hands which was released a few days back.

Cha Seung dresses in the attire according to his character that is the Bull Demon King, the evil mastermind.

Oh Yeon Seo plays the human version of Xuanzang who is seen holding an umbrella mysteriously.

The last revelation is Hongki's role who is potrayed as Zhu Baije, or superstar P.K is seen with a bloody nose.

Fans are excitedly anticipating this upcoming drama as this will be the first drama of Lee Seung Gi releasing after him being discharged from military service

Earlier when Lee Seung Gi was asked about his role in 'Hwayugi', he had said, "First of all, the script was so fun. I've also worked with the Hong sisters before so I believed in them. More than anything, I thought that I could portray [the character] well."
