Lee Min-Ho honoured at National Brand Awards 2017 for enhancing South Korea's brand image

After receiving the award, Lee Min-Ho thanked everyone who has helped him to become what he is today.

Korean actor Lee Min-Ho, who was seen in the popular show The Legend of the Blue Sea, received an award on 22 February for improving South Korea's brand image at the 2017 National Brand Awards. The 29-year-old actor honoured with the award at the National Assembly Hall in Seoul for boosting Korean culture and spreading it all across the world with his work.

After receiving the prestigious award, in his acceptance speech, he thanked everyone who has helped him to become what he is today- one of the most recognizable celebrities in the country. He also thanked his fans for love and support. "I traveled around the globe so many times over the past few years...I was so touched to see people (overseas) trying to write or speak Korean to me. I will further try to contribute to Korea's brand image," said Lee as reported.

The annual ceremony was hosted by Institute of Nation Brand Promotion to acknowledge all individuals and businesses, which helped in enhancing the image of the country.

Lee winning the award is no surprise as Lee's projects and endorsements in the previous years have received a lot of love from his fans from all across the world.

Moreover, the actor also held two meet-and-greet events over the weekend on 18 and 19 February. More than 6,000 fans gathered to meet their favourite star in Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. Despite his busy schedule, he met his fans to celebrate his ten years in the entertainment industry.

The Kpop Herald quoted Lee Min-Ho as saying: "I was able to successfully finish the first act of my life because of you."
