Lee Joon Gi hit the one million mark on his Instagram on Wednesday. The 34-year-old was reportedly added another 600,000 fans on his social media platform after his successful portrayal of the 4th Prince Wang So.
On 5 October, the South Korean actor, model and singer celebrated the milestone with a picture update on his social media accoujt. The period drama lead posted the picture of him with his Scarlet Goryeo gang and captioned it: "1M Thanks & Love." The photograph is apparently from a scene where Wang Eun is marrying Park Soon Deok .
Meanwhile, Joon Gi's agency also talked about the actor's growing fame in a separate official note. His agency Namoo Actors stated: "Middle school and high school students are showing their fan love for Lee Joon Gi through various methods, including sending fan letters and calling us to ask how he is doing. We often see students in their school uniforms coming to our agency."
"The reason that Lee Joon Gi uses social media is only to communicate with his fans. He most enjoys doing things with his fans. We're trying to create opportunities for him to spend time with his fans, as he has asked for," Soompi quoted the label.
