Post the stupendous success of Goblin and Descendants of the Sun, all eyes are on writer Kim Eun Sook and her next project. She has already revealed that her next drama would be titled Mr Sunshine and will be premiered in early 2018.

The tvN drama will be aired every Saturdays and Sundays and the cast includes Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Ri, Yoo Yeon Seok, Byun Yo Han, and Kim Sarang. Kim has earlier said that she wants her male lead to be well-versed in English as an integral part of the story will be set in the United States. Lee is known for his Hollywood works like 'Magnificent 7', 'Miss Conduct', 'Terminator Genisys', and 'Red: The Legend'.

However, ever since the casting was announced, netizens have been wondering about the onscreen chemist between Lee and his costar Kim Tae Ri, who is 20 years his junior. It should also be noted that writer Kim is known to create an amazing vibe among her lead pairs. It was quite evident in her dramas like Lovers in Paris, On Air, Secret Garden, A Gentleman's Dignity, The Heirs, DOTS, and Goblin.

Addressing the age gap issue, Lee said to Osen, "I'm not sure what our dynamics will be like because I haven't received a script yet. However, I met Kim Tae Ri pretty often last year because she was receiving awards for 'The Handmaiden' while I was getting them for 'Inside Men.' I met her, Son Ye Jin, and Park Jung Min as fellow award-recipients at almost half of the awards ceremonies, and there were over 10 of them in total. It almost felt like we had worked on a project together, and we ended up feeling like we'd known each other for a long time."

The drama narrates the story of a Korean man who fakes an identity of a soldier in the United States Army. After embarking on a battleship during the United States expedition to Korea, he goes back to the Joseon where he falls for a woman from an aristocratic family. Well, that sounds like a lot of action, drama, romance and sentiments.

For Lee Byung Hun, Mister Sunshine would be his first drama since the record-breaking IRIS in 2009. PD Lee Eung Book will once again collaborate with Kim for the drama.
