Kyuhyun, the youngest member of Korean boy band Super Junior, will be releasing a single before he enlists in the military this month. SM Entertainment announced that the 29-year-old singer will release the song "Goodbye for Now" on May 24, a day before he starts his military service on May 25.

The single will be released in Korean, Chinese and Japanese language, according to MWave. Before this, he will have his fan meeting "Goodbye for Now" to be held on May 20 at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Seoul.

SM Entertainment, Super Junior's agency, announced last month that Kyuhyun will enlist at the Nonsan Army Training Center on May 25.

At the center, he will undergo four weeks of basic military training along with other recruits. All able-bodied Korean men are required by law to fulfill their military service.

Because of his health status, Kyuhyun will serve as a public service worker.

He was involved in a car accident together with other Super Junior members in 2007. Unfortunately, he got the most injuries including hip fracture that required him to stay in the hospital for months. Last August, he underwent vocal cord surgery.

Kyuhyun is the last member of his group to join the army. Four Super Junior members will be completing their military service this year and reports indicated that the group will be coming back and be active this year. Some members of Super Junior including Leeteuk and Heechul are active on TV.

He is leaving his TV shows "Radio Star" and "New Journey to the West" because of his enlistment. "Radio Star" has not announced who will replace Kyuhyun on the show.

Prior to enlistment, Kyuhyun also released his first Japanese studio album "One Voice" last February, which topped the Oricon music chart. The album contains songs such as "Celebration" and "At Gwanghwamun."

He has also been active in musicals. He became the male lead in the musicals "Catch Me If You Can," "Moon Embracing the Sun," "Singin' in the Rain," "Robin Hood" and "Werther." He played the role of Mozart in the "Mozart" musical last year.
