The sudden cancellation of the remainder of Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour has given room to rumours and speculations over the health of the 23-year-old Canadian singer, whose earlier backstage fainting incident in 2013 forced organisers to cancel the Lisbon show.

The Purpose Tour kicked off in March 2016 has seen Justin Biber play in more than 150 shows across Americas, Europe, Australia, India, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

However, the wording of the statement hints at something beyond mere exhaustion that could have brought down the singer. A spokesperson for the 23-year-old said:"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts." It's still unclear what the unforeseen circumstances are.

His recent concert in Mumbai too was disastrous as many on the stage noticed that the singer was merely lip-syncing for his numbers. It had set off a bad precedent for the upcoming singer who has millions of fans in India.

The latest cancellation statement, however, said:"Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them... However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase."

It was on March 7, 2013, Justin Bieber's ill health came to light when the singer fainted backstage at London's O2 Arena after complaining of breathing problem, which had kept him unwell throughout his performance. He was admitted to a local hospital and the organisers had to cancel his next concert at Lisbon, Portugal citing "unforeseen circumstances".

The statement said,"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second performance in Portugal, March 12... "

However, the singer has not tweeted about his health so far.
