Director Juan Antonio Bayona and producer Colin Trevorrow both teased fans of the Jurassic park series with a photo that Frank Marshall confirmed was the first official still from the sets of the forthcoming sequel to 2015's box office smash Jurassic World.

J.A. Bayona captioned the photo with the words: "So excited to show you this!! A first look of the new Jurassic adventure. #JW2."

Colin Trevorrow wrote: "Walking in giant footsteps. #JW2." The image shows quite a few interesting things like a museum-like room with dinosaur skeletons everywhere, and in the centre of the frame is a little girl.

As reported by Jurassic Outpost on October 19, there was an open casting call in both the US and UK, for the fifth Jurassic Park film under the working title 'Ancient Futures.' The casting call was for a character named Lucy. The description read: "She is a young girl around 9 years of age. The girl playing Lucy must be at least 9 years of age by February 2017, but cannot be over 10 years old."

The casting breakdown further stressed: "She must be a sensitive and clever actress capable of handling long and complex scenes. Lucy must be able to handle a range of emotions from tender moments with her father, to anxiety, bravery, and shock. This role represents a huge and exciting opportunity for a young actress to play a significant role in a major Hollywood blockbuster."

As for the dinosaurs in the photo, Jurassic Outpost notes: "On back left of the photo is a small therapod dinosaur, which may possibly be a Velociraptor (though it's hard to tell) – middle left appears to be an Edmontosaurus, and front left appears to be a Juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex/Nanotyrannus (see: Jane). Back right is a Protoceratops, followed by a Kosmoceratops, and finally closest to the frame is likely an Euoplocephalus or perhaps Edmontonia. The large skull center frame is a bit of a curiosity, but we currently speculate it's a Agujaceratops."

It will surely be exciting to see new species of dinosaurs in the film franchise, as there haven't been any announcements regarding which dinosaurs will be featured in the J.A. Bayona film. Coming from Bayona who directed the wonderful 'A Monster calls,' the film will be scarier than its predecessor. So, one may expect a lot more horror involving dinosaurs and man than the past four films had. Also, if the still image is any indicator, cinematographer Oscar Faura's lensing will give a new, interesting at the same time beautiful look to the fifth film.

As regards the location for the film, the photo's large hall setting, as per a fan theory noted by Jurassic Outpost, could very well stand in for 'Jurassic Park' founder John Hammond's mansion, which was briefly featured in 'The lost World: Jurassic Park' film. Or it may be a mansion in one of the dinosaur islands in Costa Rica. The film is being shot in the United Kingdom as well as in Hawaii.

Though no plot details have been officially revealed yet, it seems that a scene or two set inside this pre-historic museum will be featured in the film. It is possible, that like Spielberg's 1993 film, a key scene will be featured in the film where InGen's dinosaurs battle inside a large hall, destroying the bones of their ancestors.

The untitled 'Jurassic World' sequel is set for release on June 22, 2018 in the United States. Film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B.D. Wong, James Cromwell, Geraldine Chaplin, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, and Justice Smith among others. Michael Giacchino will score the music for the film. Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow are executive producing from a script by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
