Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky have reportedly split. The 47-year-old Black Swan director was supposedly upset with the Hunger Games star's joke she made in her recent interview with a magazine.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence talked about her biggest fear. She said: "My biggest irrational -- hopefully -- fear is that the Zika virus is going to be the solution to overpopulation."

She added: "If you've ever read the Kurt Vonnegut short story where everyone has to take these pills that make your private parts feel like wet sponges and then nobody can have sex and no one can procreate. And so by the time I'm older and I'm like, 'I think I want to be a mother,' they're like, 'You can't. Your private part feels like a sponge.'"

According to a report in Radar Online, Aronofsky was unhappy with her comments. A source said: "It's not been anywhere near the serious relationship it's being made out to be. They're just enjoying each other's company until the next person comes along."

"He finds her a little immature and was pretty horrified by her 'wet sponge' private parts comment to Vanity Fair," the insider added.

Aronofsky has a child with former fiancee Rachel Weisz, and The Silver Linings Playbook star has previously dated Nicholas Hoult and Chris Martin.
