Jake Gyllenhaal does want to talk about his relationship with former girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The 36-year-old actor had split from the Bad Blood hitmaker in 2011.

During an interview with The Guardian, the Nightcrawler star was asked about his personal life. He said: "I'm not necessarily guarded, but I consider intimacy to be very important and I don't think everybody needs to know about my family or my personal details. I'm old school in that way."

The interviewer went on to ask why he would date Swift who is "renowned for using past relationships as source material in her songs," he replied: "I think when you're in a relationship, you are constantly scrutinized, your friends are scrutinized, but... [shrug]."

Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston revealed he would like to date Swift again. The two had parted ways after three months of dating.

During an interview with GQ magazine, The Night Manager star described Swift as an amazing woman. He said: "Taylor is an amazing woman. She's generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best of time. Of course, it was real."

Meanwhile, Swift has a history of dating high-profile celebrities including Scottish singer/DJ Calvin Harris, One Direction star Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and Conor Kennedy. In December 2015, during an interview with NME magazine, the Red hitmaker said she feels the world is too interested in her personal life.

She told the publication: "I'm in the news every single day for multiple different reasons. And it can feel, at times, if you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody's waiting for you to really mess up – and then you'll be done."

"A lot of the time I need to call my mom and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and all the things that matter. If you do something that defines your character to be not what the public thought you were, that's the biggest risk," Swift added.
