Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth ended on February 21, and the cast of the drama took to social media to thank their fans for the love and support they gave to the partly historical, mostly fictional tale of the ancient Kingdom of Silla and the emergence of the Hwarang knights.

As noted by website Soompi, following the broadcast of the finale episode of Hwarang, Park Hyung Sik, Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo, and Kim Tae-hyung (BTS's V) all posted the same group photo of the cast, which, the website speculates might have been a reunion for the Hwarang brothers, to watch the episode together. Notably missing from the photo was Go Ara and the other female actors from the drama.

"Thank you... And I love you!" actor Park Hyung-sik, who played King Jinheung in Hwarang, wrote in an Instagram post. The singer and actor, who is also lending his voice to the Korean dubbed version of the animated film Trolls, posted an older photo of himself on the set of Hwarang, which had been fully filmed before the first episode was aired.

"More than anything, I'm happy to have been able to meet such great people. I sincerely thank all those who have been watching 'Hwarang' all this time, and those who have supported Sammaekjong while crying and laughing together with him. I love you," he stated.

Both Do Ji-han and Jo Yoon-woo shared slightly different black and white variants of the cast photo mentioned above. Do Ji-han thanked his fans on the Instagram post for their love and said he was grateful to be able to work with and get to know the other Hwarang brothers. He finished, saying: "I love you all so, so much."

As for Jo Yoon-woo, he thanked the production team on his Instagram post for giving him the opportunity, saying: "Hwarang, thank you for everything. It's really goodbye."

Kim Hyun-jun shared a photo on his Instagram, saying: "I was glad to be able to live as Danse for ten weeks. Farewell, Danse."

BTS's V, whose character Seok Han-sung died a hero in episode 18, while trying to protect Sun-woo, also shared the same cast photo on the Twitter account of BTS's official members, saying: "I was so grateful to be able to film with such great people. I want to show this off to ARMY!!!"
