How to fix sticky Power and Volume buttons on Google Pixel and Pixel XL

Numerous Google Pixel and Pixel XL users are allegedly complaining about sticky Power and Volume buttons on their Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones, as there is no click sound or contact registered while pressing or pushing the button. Although some users have tried cleaning the affected buttons by sucking on it with their mouth, there is a better way to fix the sticky button issue on Google's flagship phones.

A veteran Reddit user plotagon has suggested that the sticky buttons on the Pixel phone can be cleaned using an Isopropyl alcohol pad found in a typical first-aid kit. Here's how to fix sticky Power and Volume buttons on Pixel and Pixel XL:

  • Acquire an Isopropyl alcohol pad from the nearest pharmacy store.
  • Try cleaning the affected Power and Volume buttons on your Pixel phone using the Isopropyl alcohol pad while the button is fully pressed in and when it's released.
  • Repeat the above two steps just a couple of times and that should resolve the sticky problem with the buttons on the Pixel smartphone.

That's it. Your Pixel phone Power and Volume buttons should now function normally, allowing you to register the contact with these buttons.
