GTA 6 release date speculation returns to spotlight as renowned YouTuber Sernandoe reveals a secret Easter-Egg in GTA 5 pertaining to the release details of GTA 6, in his latest gameplay video for GTA Online. As the YouTuber explains, Rockstar Games has secretly hidden away some release date and game settings information in GTA 5 game files regarding the forthcoming instalment in the popular action-RPG series.
Sernandoe has unearthed some Easter-Eggs in GTA 5 which support a bunch of GTA 6 references, wherein the older ones have been showcased first followed by the more recent ones that were discovered in the GTA community.
GTA 5 Easter-Eggs found in GTA 4
Let's roll back in time to 2008 when Rockstar had just released the fourth iteration of GTA or GTA 4 in response to the massive fanfare received for its prequel, the GTA 3, which also turned out to be the Game of the Year (GOTY).
As Sernandoe points out, there are three sets of Easter-eggs leading to the arrival of GTA 5 to the gaming world. One of the GTA 5 Easter-eggs found in GTA 4 includes a flying billboard with the message "Visit Los Santos from $299 (rtn), fly U6 â Live a little, fly with US."
The details revealed in the location Easter-egg for GTA 5 has actually come true, as we are able to visit Los Santos in the latest GTA game. You can also headover to the amusement park in GTA 4, which has a banner setting in the background that reads "Vinewood". It must be noted that Vinewood hills is also part of GTA 5.
We could also find a hint of the previous GTA game aka Liberty City Stories in the GTA: Ballad of Gay Tony manual, which also throws up a hint of the game location for the subsequent GTA title or GTA 5. You can clearly see "Next Stop" with a mountain icon printed at the right-side bottom corner of the manual, wherein GTA 5 is the only game released in the series with mountains in it.
Rockstar has so far been spot on with its GTA 5 release, which falls in line with the hidden Easter-eggs scattered all over GTA 4. Moving on to the next title, the game maker has once again left a bunch of hidden clues pertaining to the game location for GTA 6.
You can find an emblem like thing standing inside an empty cargo container in GTA 5 while playing a campaign mission, which has "6" written on it. It is ascertained that the emblem actually refers to the Corporate Security Gruppe 6, wherein the same logo can be found stickered on the company's money truck as well.
GTA 6 Location Easter-Eggs
If you walk into Michael's house, you can notice an air flyer ticket placed on the study table in the hall that says "fly U6". However, the weird aspect is that you will actually see two air tickets on the table.
It must be noted that Michael travels to North Yankton in the GTA 5 story mode to stop Trevor, but he never uses the return ticket in the game. This fuels further speculation that GTA 6 might actually take place in North Yankton or some of the ice-cold arctic regions.
If you travel to the Vespucci beach in GTA 5, you will notice a towel on the ground that reads "I love VC" wherein VC could actually mean Vice City. This tip could actually indicate that GTA 6 could actually happen in Vice City or it could be a remake of the old game â GTA: Vice City.
Just get to the location marked on the in-game mini map (see video) where you can find the logo of some radio station called "Liberty Rock Radio" on the roof wall of some garage, which has been taken from GTA 4. It is anybody's guess that Rockstar could be hinting at the return of Liberty City with GTA 6.
When you enter the skating arena right next to this garage, you will see the details of some city on one corner of the wall. The embedded image on the wall closely resembles to the city outline of London in the UK.
It would be an exciting prospect to see the release of next GTA game in the home town of Rockstar or London.
GTA 6 Release Date Easter-Egg
If you make your way to the Los Santos airport, you will see a couple of new clues on the doors wherein one of the doors has "2013" written on it. 2013 is the year when GTA 5 was released for PS3 and Xbox 360.
There is another door right next to it, which says "2021". The GTA community is currently speculating if this number has anything to do with the proposed release date for GTA 6.
Quite surprisingly, the entire airport in GTA 5 has these numbers marked all over the place. Some doors have "2013" written on them while the others read "2021".
With Red Dead Redemption coming out in 2017, it is imperative that Rockstar will be pushing back the next GTA title by a few years.
