The GTA community is already abuzz with news of upcoming DLC content and release date as it has been almost two months since the release of Bikers update in GTA Online. As renowned YouTuber MrBossFTW (aka Ross) explains, Rockstar Games has exhausted all the available game content from existing GTA 5 DLC files and hence it becomes imperative to know what's coming next to GTA Online.

In other words, the game maker will now be forced to create new game content or DLC update for GTA Online as there is no more reusable code left in the game.

There is only one official hint left over by Rockstar in its Newswire post dating back to September, wherein the game developer suggested the possibility of releasing high-level and high-risk vehicle based business ventures into the game.

These business ventures are proposed to kick off across Los Santos and Blaine County soon. However, there is still no clarity on the game content or if it would be some kind of vehicle export/import business.

All the ensuing DLC event playlists are scheduled to end on 28 November and hence it is feasible for Rockstar to release the next update sometime early in December or during the festive season.

The only two occasions Rockstar had kept its DLC releases secret were when I'm Not a Hipster update and the January 2016 update (including the Drop Zone Adversary mode) came out.

A similar feat is expected again with the Festive Surprise DLC in December as Rockstar is apparently running out of time for the release of highly-anticipated action-RPG game, the Red Dead Redemption 2.

With Rockstar having consistently rolled out a major DLC every year in the month of December, it is almost certain that it will not be any different this year.

Going back to 2015, Rockstar had introduced the Executives and Other Criminals DLC on 15 December, which is the third Tuesday of the month.

Coming to 2016, there are only a couple of Tuesdays in December that would fit the bill for a well-timed DLC release. In other words, Rockstar is likely to roll out the Festive Surprise DLC either on 6 December or 13 December, which fall on the second and third Tuesday of the month respectively.

We could rule out the other two Tuesdays in December 2016, as the third Tuesday (20 December) falls too close to the Christmas Day and the fourth Tuesday (27 December) falls well past the Christmas holiday.

With Rockstar expected to release the Christmas update towards the last week of December, the first two weeks of the month will serve as the perfect window for launching the next DLC in GTA Online.

In related news, Rockstar is continually updating the QA beta files wherein qabeta2 is the latest addition to the list, which also features nicktestbranch and qabeta files. The qabeta files suggest that Rockstar is working on the next DLC and testing it for bugs as well as broken features.

It is also speculated that Rockstar might be updating the screenshots, gameplay trailer and other newsfeed content for the forthcoming update as the qabeta2 files indicate the final stage of testing and development for a new DLC.

It is widely believed that the DLC releases usually come out three weeks after the last qabeta file has been updated. In other words, it means the next DLC update is likely to roll out sometime in the first or second week of December.

Meanwhile, prolific GTA tipster Funmw2 has stated that two more Adversary modes are left untouched in the DLC files and one of them contains gameplay elements linked to Power-Play mode. All the in-game scripts depicting this similarity between forthcoming adversary mode and the Power-Play mode has been removed by Rockstar for some reason.
