The youngest member of four-member K-pop group Girl's Day, Lee Hye-Ri, better known as Hyeri, recently posed for a photoshoot and talked about her upcoming TV drama 'Two Cops.' She revealed her character to be one that believes in taking action rather than talking in the face of injustice.

As noted by website Soompi, Hyeri did a photoshoot with InStyle magazine for its November issue. About her new drama, MBC's 'Two Cops,' she said, "We had our first read-through a while ago and it was very unfamiliar. The drama is such an exciting one that I feel like I'm waiting for the filming dates."

As for her character in the drama, Hyeri, who starred in 'Reply 1988,' said, "I'm taking on the role of local reporter Song Ji-an. She has a brave and justice-seeking personality, one that takes action before speaking! She looks feminine and when she sees injustice she just can't keep it in."

Hyeri's rookie reporter might be bad-tempered but is unafraid of the criminal world and their machinations. Her character sounds like a role model for young girls who want to be strong in a world with escalating violence and fight injustice head-on. Most reporters are required to be brave anyway and Song Ji-an should be a welcome addition to the many brave reporters that have appeared in TV dramas and in movies.

In September, the cast of 'Two Cops' held their script read-through at the MBC building in Ilsan. Hyeri had said then, "I'm very happy to be acting with an awesome script and awesome seniors. I'll work hard." Actor Jo Jung-suk who plays the co-lead, said, "I'll do my best to make this into a drama that is bubbly like my [acting] partner Hyeri."

Interestingly, Jo Jung-suk has a double role in the MBC drama. On one hand, he plays Cha Dong-tak, a dedicated detective in the violent crimes unit with a serious attitude in life. On the other hand, he plays a skilled con man called Gong Su-chang, who tricks people with his devious tactics. Things get complicated when the con man ends up in the body of the detective.

The director of the drama, Oh Hyun-jong, said, "I'm curious and excited about how the actors will realistically portray their characters. I'll make an effort to make it an enjoyable experience." MBC's 'Two Cops' will air in November after the conclusion of '20th Century Boy and Girl.'
