Angelina Jolie is all geared up for the promotion of her new directorial "First They Killed My Father." The film narrates the horrific story of Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung who suffered under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rouge.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Hello Magazine, the actress revealed that the film is close to her heart for one more reason. Her son Maddox, who has been adopted from Cambodia, has been a part of the production team. "My sons worked on the film with me, and that made it even more meaningful. Especially as the process of Mad helping in the production was a hands-on education for him in learning more about his birth country. He has a home there and visits to support our Foundation work whenever he can, but it was a very different experience for us to create together, and to become a family with the local crew as we pulled together to tell the story," she said.

Further, the Oscar-winning actress opened up on choosing to promote the perfume brand Mon Guerlain. The brand was something special to her later mother and that eventually led to the decision. She also revealed how Guerlain, which is one of the oldest perfume house in the world, was her childhood fascination. "As I talked to Guerlain about the artistry they devote to the making of the perfume and the way they work in communities, sourcing their ingredients, the pieces came together and I felt we were a match," she added.

Jolie, 41, who is not a great makeup lover, also raised concerns on her health issues and how she wants to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle with her kids. She also vowed to see her children living across the world and how she would love to visit them from country to country. "I think some will be interested in the international work I do, and I would love to partner with them as I continue. I imagine I will be less involved in film and be focused more on family and foreign affairs," she said.
