f(x)'s Luna revealed she intentionally gained weight before releasing solo album

Luna had recently released her first solo album.

South Korean singer/actress Luna has opened up about her diet plans. The lead vocalist of girl group f(x) revealed that she gained weight while working on her first solo album.

During an appearance on the episode of Hello Counselor, the 22-year-old singer, whose real name is Park Sun-young, was discussing her fans' questions. She was joined by her band members Baek A Yeon, Lee Jung Min, and Heyne.

The show's host asked: "You all seem to diet before your albums come out, you look so pretty!"

Luna replied: "In my case, I actually put on weight. I have to sing tracks with high notes, so I need strength. Since last year, I've gained about 3 kilograms."

Previously, Luna had admitted that she missed her girl group members. while doing solo activities. She said: "While preparing for my solo [debut], I realized once again just how much I value my f(x) members. Doing music should be enjoyable, so I don't know why I got stressed because of part [allocation] or popularity."

Luna also detailed about her aspirations and dreams. She said: "Firstly, becoming an international CCM (Christian contemporary music) artist and secondly, a good wife and wise mother. I want to try making everything you can make with your hands, like soap, blankets, clothes, shoes, and so on."
