Ellie Kemper announces her pregnancy in the cutest way ever on The Tonight Show

Ellie Kemper revealed how it was difficult for her to keep the pregnancy news a secret while shooting

American actress and comedian Ellie Kemper announced her pregnancy to the world in the cutest way ever. The star from the Netflix comedy series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, revealed that she will be welcoming her first child with husband Michael Koman, during her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

When the host asked Kemper about the big news, the actress instantly replied: "I am pregnant!"

On listening to the happy news, Fallon could not stop himself, and leaned towards Kemper's baby bump: "Hi, baby! Hi! I can't wait until you see the show. Your mommy's very funny and very talented."

The actress who found out about her pregnancy while shooting for the series' season 2, revealed that she could not hide her pregnancy from her co-stars because of her carefree nature. Talking about the shoot and how she had to lie to everyone on the set, the 35-year-old revealed: "[My pregnancy] didn't really affect filming until the very end. We had a table read and I saw that my character was supposed to be on a roller coaster ... I was Googling pregnant women on roller coasters".

"I felt like a pregnant lady on a roller coaster is not ideal. I had to tell my boss, Tina Fey," she said.

The actress further added: "Because it was still so early on we decided we'll just tell people that I have a back injury and that's why I can't ride the roller coaster."

"I could not act like I had a back injury. I'm an actress, presumably. Someone would ask what's wrong and words escaped me, like, 'Oh, I sprained my spine.' I'm a bad liar. I kept forgetting and doing things someone with a back injury couldn't do. They'd yell 'lunch' and I'd leap up and cartwheel to catering. You're not supposed to do that," Kemper revealed.
