Download and install Google Pixel 2 Launcher mod without root

The sought-after Google Pixel 2 Launcher mod is now available to download and Android phone owners can install without rooting the device. The latest version offers a host of bug fixes and tweaks to improve the user experience.

XDA developers have been successful in porting the Google Pixel 2 Launcher to Android phones. On Wednesday, October 18, Pixel 2 version 1.7 was rolled out with a couple of performance improvements.

For Android Lollipop users, Settings crash has been fixed as well as the grid size on Moto devices. On top of those, the new mod update allows users to revert "Force colored Google logo on any wallpaper".

The latest Pixel 2 Launcher mod was tested on Galaxy Note 8 running Android 7.1 Nougat and Pixel XL running Android 8.0 Oreo and it worked well. The version also works on Lollipop and Marshmallow devices.

Earlier versions of the mod installed on non-Google phones do not sit well with the Google Now panel. With the latest update, the Google Pixel 2 Launcher has added support for the panel, providing slight tweaks in the animation when sliding up, much like the iOS.
