Destiny 2 developments are finally coming to a final stretch as the long-awaited sequel to the shooter video game first arrives on 6 September. Game developer Bungie has revealed a couple of new details before the game hits Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Read on to know details on Destiny 2 download size, character data transfer, and limited-edition controllers for PlayStation 4.

Download size

Destiny 2 download size clocks in at 29.15 gigabytes as revealed on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The size is not much at all in contrast to other popular shooter games like Wolfenstein at 50 gigabytes and Halo 5: Guardians at 100 gigabytes. PlayStation 4 requires at least 68 gigabytes of space but this is subject to change. PC download size has not been known as of yet.

Destiny 2 preorder is now available in websites of Xbox, PlayStation, retail stores, and Destiny the game. After the release on 6 September for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and 24 October for PC, Destiny 2 copies are expected to be delivered within the grace period of up to 35 days.

PlayStation 4 controller

A special edition of Destiny 2 DualShock 4 controller for PlayStation 4 will be released in Europe and Australia as part of a bundle. PlayStation has revealed already that the controller will not be available in the UK, Poland, and Russia. The controller is only limited with two available colour options—Glacier White and Jet Black.

Destiny 2 for PlayStation 4 Pro bundles include the game's disc copy, an expansion pass, and premium digital contents, including a Cabal emblem, an emote, and a Legendary sword. Sony Interactive Entertainment has yet to announce the price tag.

Destiny to Destiny 2 file transfer

Bungie has warned all Destiny players to wrap up their game since the developer's transfer of data activity will go live starting 1 August. Data that will be carried over to Destiny 2 are those characters of level 20 and higher; these characters should have finished off vanilla Destiny's final mission—The Black Garden.
