Descendants of the Sun: How Song Joong-ki had Song Hye-kyo and a million female fans swoon

Actress Song Hye-Ko reveals the mesmerizing lines by Song Joong Ki were more enchanting than even a kiss.

Song Joong Ki, the boyish-looking hunk of the South Korean drama Descendants of the Sun, who captivated fluttery hearts in their million in China and elsewhere in the region, has been celebrated unabashedly even by the female star cast of the series.

Actress Song Hye-Ko, who played the love interst of Song Joong Ki, revealed during a
promotional event in Hong Kong which of the mesmerising lines by Song were more enchanting than even a kiss.

"Should I confess my love or apologise?' That was the line he said (after the kiss) that made
my heart flutter, the 34-yuear-old actress said.

Stars of Descendants of the Sun were in Hon Kong to promote their record breaking 16-episode show. The military- themed romantic- action drama is all set to mesmerise its fans in Hong Kong via local channel Viu Tv.

Marking its first oversees promotional activity, the lead actors of the series – Army captain Song Joong-ki and his love interest Doctor Song Hye-kyo -- seemed very excited at the press conference.

The 34-year-old actress Hye-Ko, who greeted media persons in Mandarin at the event, revealed that the script of the show excited her instantly.

"The relationship between a doctor and a soldier intrigued me. When I read the script for the first time, I found I could read it as fast as if it were a comic book. That's when I realized it would be a fun drama that many people would fall in love with," the actress, who plays the pretty Doctor Kang Mo Yeon in the drama, opened up.

She also stated that though her character has intense feelings, all the beautiful punch lines by actor Song Joong-ki took the center-stage. "There are many great lines from the drama. I think many great lines came from Yoo Si Jin, not from my character", the actress added.

Meanwhile, the handsome hunk from the series, Song Joong-ki, mesmerised everyone with his experience on the set. The actor, fit as a fiddle and nicely dressed in a black suit, stated that the drama is more on a romantic side rather than an action thriller.

"You can see different kinds of scenes in the drama - there's action, there're earthquakes. But we still consider it a romantic drama," Song Joong-k said.

"We had enough time to communicate and work with one another. I liked the fact that we had a more relaxed setting. That's what I liked the most about doing this drama," the 30-year-old added.

The first episode of mega-hit KBS 2TV drama was telecast on 'Viutv Channel 99" at 8:30 pm. The ongoing episodes of Descendants of the Sun can also be watched on Viu.com and Viu App in Honk Kong and Singapore eight hours after its telecast on Korean Tv channel.
