Few movie villains have remained as intimidating and as popular as Darth Vader. Ever since the original 'Star Wars' film directed by George Lucas was released in 1977, Darth Vader became a pop-culture phenomenon. The looming dark figure voiced by James Earl Jones and played by David Prowse inspired countless merchandising, from costumes to toys as well as countless spoofs. However, the character has also has a deep psychological impact on many, including haunting others' dreams. A 'Rogue One' actor can certainly attest to that.

Speaking with Jonathan Bloom of ABC7 News, actor Diego Luna, who plays Captain Cassian Andor in 'Rogue One' said Darth Vader has been haunting him in his sleep and invading his dreams ever since he laid eyes on the character as a child. "Every time I go to bed, he kind of comes back to me and talks to me at night, it's quite scary," Luna said.

Luna had also previously spoken about his oddly dangerous relationship with the Sith Lord. Speaking during the Star Wars livestream Q&A on Twitter on 2 December, Luna had said even though he chose to role play as Han Solo as a child, with his cousin, it was Darth Vader with whom his obsession began, because the Sith Lord, he feels, chose him. "...I think he chose me – it's Darth. It's like he appears in my nightmares. He's there - always! I don't feel that way with anyone or anything... Having accepted it, I feel much better," the actor said.

Diego Luna, best known for his work in such films like 'Y tu mamá también,' 'The Terminal,' 'Elysium' and 'Milk,' is playing one of the rebels central to the plot of Gareth Edwards' 'Rogue One.' His character, Captain Cassian Andor is described on starwars.com as an "accomplished Alliance Intelligence officer with combat field experience, Captain Cassian Andor commands respect from his Rebel troops with his ability to keep a cool head under fire and complete his missions with minimal resources."

It has been hinted that almost all the rebels will die at the hands of the Galactic Empire while securing the plans for the Death Star. There were reports that Darth Vader, who has a brief role in the film, will show up and slaughter a bunch of rebels. It's certain that most of the rebels will get to die heroically trying to save the galaxy from the planet destroying weapon. It will be interesting to see whether Luna's character gets to interact with Vader in the film, who is once again voiced by screen legend James Earl Jones.

'Rogue One' directed by Gareth Edwards, releases in Singapore on 15 December.
