Criminal Minds Korean remake to begin production, Lee Joon Gi to lead the cast

The Korean remake of 'Criminal Minds' will begin its production soon. Son Hyun Joo, Lee Joon Gi, and Moon Chae Won are likely to play the lead. A script reading session took place on April 7 and according to sources, the production will begin from 17.

A report on Soompi stated that the actors attended the script reading session and the team is currently busy with finalising their looks. However, a final negotiation will also take place before the shoot. Actors are yet to make an official announcement on the project. Criminal Minds is the remake of American CBS drama which was broadcasted first in 2005. Taewon Entertainment, which produced 'Iris,' along with Studio Dragon is producing the Korean version.

Meanwhile, after much speculations and hypes, actor Lee Joon Gi has confirmed his relationship with actress Jeon Hye Bin. The couple is in a relationship for the past two years and now they have decided to go public. Lee, 35, and Jeon, 34, worked together for the 2014 KBS 2TV historical drama series 'Joseon Gunman.'

In a statement published by the actor's agency—Namoo Actors, which manages both stars—the news was confirmed. It stated "Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin met as colleagues through a drama in 2014, and when the first dating rumor report was released, they were good friends at the time. However, the two progressed into a dating relationship sometime during the beginning of 2016. They had a lot of similarities as friends and became interested in each other, but they spent a long time confirming those feelings, which is why they are carefully dating. Please look upon these two actors fondly as they continue their activities," as translated by Soompi.

Singer-actor Lee has starred in television series like Iljimae, Arang and the Magistrate, Scholar Who Walks The Night, and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. His portrayal as the fearsome 4th Prince, Wang So, in Scarlet Heart Ryeo has brought him international fame and fans.
