Singapore river festival is back again this year with more of fun and enthusiasm where the Singapore River area will all be decked up and transformed into a hotbed of art installations, performances and unique dining experience.

Visitors will have a gala time in experiencing three quays like boat, Clarke and Robertson Quay. Each quay will come with a different range of activities so that visitors can pick their choice.

Singapore writers festival is being conducted every year since1986 and it is a much-anticipated event on the cultural calendar. It presents world's major literary talents to Singaporeans at the same time focusing more on homegrown and Southeast Asian talents.

The event lasts for 10 days. The festival presents panel discussions which are presided by influential authors. Live performances, film screenings, workshops are part of the event and the theme for this year's festival is 'Aram' which means "doing good "in Tamil.

Moreover, they are celebrating 20 years of the festival by focusing more on the topics like Tamil Literature, sexuality in Asian writing and best of Irish writers.

The German Film Festival is returning with its 21st edition where it will be screening more than 30 films directed by German filmmakers. Film screenings will include different genres ranging from comedy, historical drama and art house.

The programme focuses on global migration and a discourse over the education system. The event will kick-start with the western movie directed by Valeska Grisebach and will include few of the highlights of the festival like 'The Blood of Yesterday' by Chris Kraus, Club Europe and welcome to Germany
