Charlize Theron's adopted son's new style has sparked gender rumours. Jackson Theron was spotted wearing box braids, a pink shirt and matching boots during an outing with the actress in Beverly Hills.

Celebrity gossip website MediaTakeOut stated that Jackson appears to be transitioning into a female. The report read: "When Charlize first brought Jackson home, she was raising him as a boy. But as time went on, Charlize appeared to use a more gender-neutral approach to raising/dressing him."

"Now Jackson's mom appears to be dressing him using traditionally female clothing. Jackson was out yesterday wearing leggings, pink Uggs and braid extensions," it added.

Previously, Charlize had faced backlash over her parenting. The Fast and the Furious actress was pictured with Jackson, who was seen dressed as Disney's favorite ice queen Elsa.

Charlize adopted son Jackson from South Africa in 2012. In 2016, she adopted a baby girl named August.

The 40-year-old actress had earlier revealed that adopting Jackson was the best decision she has ever made. She told Vogue: "Adopting was not a last resort for me — it was almost like a first resort. And it's the only thing in my life that's surpassed how great I thought it would be."
