Certis Cisco guard accidentally fires shot in restricted area at Changi Airport, no injuries reported

The investigations are going on into the incident in assistance with Certis Cisco.

A Certis Cisco security guard accidentally fired his gun on Friday morning at Changi Airport. However, there were no reports of any injury following the "accidental discharge of firearm".

"Certis Cisco confirms the incident of an accidental discharge of firearm involving an auxiliary police officer this morning at 5.45 am," the security firm said in a statement to Channel NewsAsia.

According to the statement, the incident took place at a restricted staff-only rest area, outside the airport's perimeter fence and away from passenger terminals.

The police said that they were informed about the incident at 6.09 am. The investigations are going on into the incident in assistance with Certis Cisco.
