As the film is all set to reach the theaters on December 01, the Rajput outfit has vowed that they will not allow the film to get a release until and unless the content of the movie is changed.

Padmavati is based on the legendary 13th-14th CE Indian queen Rani Padmini, who was the queen of Rajput King Ratan Singh. She performed self-immolation to defend her honour against a Muslim invader, Alauddin Khalji who conquered her kingdom Chittor.
