BTS' Rap Monster will not take part in the band's future engagements for quite some time. The 21-year-old is reportedly taking a break from his activities due to health issues.

On September 30, the boy group's agency officially announced the rapper's health woes and confirmed his absence from the K-Pop World Festival taking place on Saturday in Changwon. Big Hit Entertainment revealed that the Please Don't Die singer is suffering from joint pains and would want some time to recover.

Elaborating further, the agency explained that the singer felt pain while practicing and was rushed for medical treatment: "Back on the 29th, Rap Monster, who was focusing on the new choreography practice for the comeback for the 2nd album, was sent to orthopedics as he felt pain. The expert recommended he control himself from any excessive activity because it can lead to stress fracture."

Fortunately, the singer's physical examination reports hinted nothing major. However, he would be needing physical therapy to come back to his health. "There were no other concerns found in the X-ray and his knees and other parts were generally in good condition. In order to improve the symptoms, he'll be regularly receiving physical therapy, " the agency said. As per the doctor's recommendation Rap Monster, whose real name is Kim Nam Joon, will be taking a break for quick recovery and to maintain good health.

Giving details of the band's performances, the agency stated that the other members of BTS will be joining the event to be held today, and will continue with their scheduled activities without Rap Monster. BTS's next performance is lined up for October 1, at Busan One Asia Festival.
